Download BitTorrent 4.3.6 beta
The BitTorrent protocol, it will be known to everyone by now, was developed by Bram Cohen and is intended to be able to distribute large and popular files easily, without the original provider having to have a very large pipe to the Internet. Everyone who downloads immediately helps with the further distribution of the files. A new beta version of the original program BitTorrent has been released for the Linux and Windows platform with the version number 4.3.6 and the following changes:
Changes in this release:
- new icons
- twisted 1.3 support
- two fixes to list.remove(x): x not in list bug
- report failure to stop a torrent to the user
- status light respects empty list
- use struct.pack instead of slices; should be a speed improvement
- another BadStatusLine bug fix
- no global upload rate bug fix
- more ‘Invalid Menu Handle’ cases fixed
- Python 2.2 compatibility fixes
- –upnp config and command line option
