Download BitTorrent 4.3.5 beta
Bram Cohen has released a new beta release of a client that allows file downloads via the BitTorrent protocol he developed. BitTorrent was developed to distribute large and popular files easily, without the original provider having to have a very large pipe to the Internet. Everyone who downloads immediately helps with the further distribution of the files. Version 4.3.5 beta contains no new features, but a number of annoying bugs have been fixed. The changelog looks like this:
Changes in this release:
- version check now will upgrade across minor beta versions
- new signal strength metaphor status light
- IPC bug fixes
- tracker drops pid file; FreeBSD init script
- fix for the long-standing XP SP2 connection rate
