Download Avast Antivirus 6.0.945 Beta

Alwil Software has released a new beta release of version 6.0 of its antivirus program. The program is available in the free Avast Free Antivirus version and the paid Avast Pro Antivirus. In addition, there is Avast Internet Security, which includes a firewall and anti-spam as extras. In version 6.0 we see improvements to the sandbox, there is a browser plug-in that can indicate the reputation of a website and there is SafeZone, a special virtual environment for sensitive transactions. The following improvements have been made in this new version:

• Fixed a bug in the AutoSandbox decision logic
• Improved installation of the Firefox WebRep plugin
• Fixed the transient cache in File System Shield
• Improved installation of the VC redistributable packages
• Some improvements in the Sidebar gadget (cosmetic issues still to be solved)
• Fixed a bug in the Autosandbox/FS Shield settings
• More stability improvements in the sandbox and behavior shield
