Software Update: AnyDVD 6.5.8.2

Spread the love

SlySoft has released version 6.5.8.2 of AnyDVD. This program runs in the background in Windows and is able to bypass the region and copy protections of DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray discs on the fly. It is also able to skip mandatory sections, such as copyright and FBI warnings. Finally, the speed of the drive can also be adjusted to reduce the noise produced during playback.

A license of AnyDVD costs 41 euros, while the HD version has to pay 63 euros. Previously you had a lifetime license for this, but since this year that has been converted to a license that is only valid for one year. This can be extended for a few euros more, for example 49 euros for two years for the standard edition. This time, you can take advantage of the perpetual ‘temporary’ discount of 20 percent until September 27. Since version 6.5.7.1, the following changes and improvements have been made:

Changes in version 6.5.8.2:

  • New: When waking up from standby or hibernate, the discs in the drives are no longer re-scanned, drives containing a CSS protected disc are re-authenticated

  • New (DVD): Workaround for bug in some drive firmware, eg Lite-On IHOS104 BD-Rom drive, CSS decryption didn’t work

  • Some minor fixes and improvements
