Slysoft has released a new version of AnyDVD. This program runs in the background of Windows and automatically decrypts DVD movies. All programs on the computer and the operating system itself then see the DVD as region-free and unprotected. The program is also able to skip certain parts of the DVD, such as the copyright and FBI warnings. In addition, the speed of the drive can also be adjusted, in order to reduce the noise produced during playback. New in this release is that the program can now be used under VirtualPC on an Apple Mac equipped with a PowerPC processor. Furthermore, aggressive I/O mode introduced in the previous version has been removed as it caused far more problems than it should solve. The full changelog looks like this:
