Software Update: AlmostVPN 0.9.5

AlmostVPN 0.9.5 has recently been released for the Mac OS X platform. The program is a Preference Panel to configure different ssh tunnels and uses launchd to control these ssh tunnels. In addition, it can import tunnel definitions from the SSH Tunnel Manager and SSHKeychain programs. With this program you can easily mount remote volumes via an SSH tunnel. The list of adjustments looks like this:

What’s New:

It is possible now to specify timeout to be used when establishing SSH connection. It should help if you are trying to use AlmostVPN over slow connection ( like cell phone ).

As of November 29th AlmostVPN web site was upgraded from Trac 0.8 to 0.9. Also we switched to PostgreSQL from Sqlite. Now you should be able to report bugs twice as fast :-).

What Was Fixed Since 0.9.4:

• Ticket #68. Gets into state where it can’t be stopped or started
• Ticket #71. Need to be able to start AlmostVPN from widget and Menu Bar
• Ticket #72. Need to be able to detect if user changed sudo password
• Ticket #77. Too quick timeout
