The third release candidate of version 3.60 of the media player AIMP has appeared. This free Russian-made lightweight media player has support for the most popular music formats. The appearance resembles the well-known Winamp and can be adjusted by means of skins. AIMP has an 18-channel equalizer on board and supports plugins. Furthermore, the program can rip CDs, convert music files and edit tags. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

Improvements:

• Skin Engine: mechanism for control the windows position during changing screen resolution has been improved

Fixed:

• Sound Engine – slow buffering for some internet radio stations
• Sound Engine – played track is retained in memory after a manual switch to another track
• Album Arts – an exception in the cache manager leads to wrong album art is displayed for playable track
• Skin Engine – active playlist tab is out of visible area after program startup in some cases
• Skin Engine – playlist – text width calculates incorrectly for non-monospaced fonts
• Plugins – Compact Disk Audio – an error occurs during scan the disk without audio tracks
• Plugins – Compact Disk Audio – bug in parser for response of CDDB server
• Small bugs and defects were fixed
