Those looking for an open source word processor that should be comparable to Microsoft Word should definitely take a look at AbiWord. The software has a large amount of features on board, while it still runs on everything that can compete with a 486 PC. Even if that system is not a personal computer: AbiWord can be started on almost every platform. Meanwhile, the word processor has welcomed version 2.0.11, which comes with the changelog below:
