Kungfu game Sifu will no longer be released this year, but sometime early next year. Developer Sloclap announced this at the end of a new teaser for the game, which will be released for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.

When exactly Sifu appears in early 2022, Doesn’t report Sloclap nor the reason for the delay. In any case, the postponement means that the game misses the lucrative year-end season for games. The studio announces later appearance at the very end of a new trailer for Sifu, which was shown during PlayStation State of Play on Thursday.

That trailer shows multiple fight scenes in Asian settings, with the protagonist in ascending ages and with increasingly gray hair. The scenes were captured on a PlayStation 5 and consist of gameplay footage and in-game cinematics.

Sloclap announced Sifu in February this year. It is a fighting game that revolves around a boy whose family has been murdered by a mysterious gang. He seeks revenge and has the advantage of his fight against the killers that he has a way to rise from the dead. The disadvantage is that he gets a lot older every time. The game should be released in early 2022 for PlayStation 4 and 5 and on PC via the Epic Game Store.
