A slide has appeared on Weibo that seems to come from Intel and lists some upcoming product generations of the chip company. This includes Alder Lake, a generation of desktop processors that Intel makes at 10nm.

The slide is in Chinese and has been featured on Twitter by Komachi, which spots processor news more often. The slide mentions 10nm products from Intel, such as Tiger Lake processors for laptops, the DG1 graphics card based on the Xe architecture for GPUs, Xeons based on the Ice Lake architecture and Snow Ridge socs for 5g base stations.

It is striking that Alder Lake is in this list, because the other products are expected this year or have already been announced to appear this year. Earlier rumors pointed to the arrival of Alder Lake-S for desktops after Comet Lake-S and Rocket Lake-S, both of which are still produced at 14nm. Alder Lake would then be released in 2021 at the earliest.

Another Chinese slide that appeared at the same time, but which Intel itself already published in English last year, speaks of significant improvements in 10nm production. Whether that means Alder Lake could appear earlier than expected is open to question. A Chinese site that also publishes the slides claims that Alder Lake is on the roadmap for the fourth quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of 2022.

According to previous rumors, Alder Lake is about processors with a big.Little-like configuration with a maximum of eight large and eight small cores and TDPs of 80 and 125W.
