Samsung reveals fan edition of Galaxy S25 and new tablets
Samsung has announced yet another new smartphone. It’s had many major launches since then, but one device was still missing: the Galaxy S25 FE. FE stands for Fan Edition, and the idea is to incorporate the favourite aspects of the Galaxy S25 into this device while keeping the price slightly lower. The Korean tech brand is also releasing new tablets: the Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra.
Galaxy S25 FE
The S25 FE has a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen and comes with an Exynos 2400 processor and 8GB of RAM. Storage options include 128GB or 256GB. The 4,900mAh battery isn’t bad for Samsung but isn’t known for its enormous batteries. This smartphone can charge at 45W, which is definitely an improvement compared to Samsung’s usual 25W charging rate.
The phone is supported for seven years and has a trio of rear cameras: a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. The smartphone boasts several AI features, including improving the sound of your voice messages by filtering background noise. AI can also analyse skin tones and textures, enhancing their appearance in photos. Furthermore, familiar Galaxy AI features are present, such as the Now Brief with a summary of your day, the option to have your messages written in a different tone, and the ability to have AI transform your drawings into 3D animations. Galaxy S25 FE costs 749 euros (128 GB) or 809 euros (256 GB).
Samsung had something else up its sleeve today: the new S11 tablets, the S11 and S11 Ultra. These tablets are thin yet support the brand’s S Pen stylus and offer all sorts of Galaxy AI capabilities, as we just mentioned with the S25 FE. But there’s more: you can multitask effectively on these tablets by dragging and dropping windows. You can also take notes and draw with the stylus, which attaches easily to the magnet on the top.
The Galaxy Tab S11 has an 11-inch AMOLED display and 12GB of RAM. It features a Mediatek Dimensity 9400+ processor, and you can choose from 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage. The tablet has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 12-megapixel selfie camera, and its IP68 rating means it’s dust and water-resistant. The Tab S11 starts at €899. The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra has nearly the exact specifications as the S11, but has a larger 11.6-inch display with an anti-reflective coating. It’s also the thinner of the two, measuring 0.4 millimetres at 5.1 millimetres. The battery is also larger: the S11 has an 8,400mAh battery and the Ultra has an 11,600mAh battery. The Ultra also has an additional 8-megapixel camera. The starting price is 1,339 euros.
