Riot Games is considering bringing Valorant to consoles. The developer is testing prototypes. It is not yet certain that the console version will actually come. Riot wonders whether the competitive gameplay can be properly translated to consoles.

If the game needs to be adapted for consoles and therefore no longer feels the way it does on PC, Riot considers making another game for consoles. That’s what Anna Donlon, executive producer of Valorant, said in an interview with GameSpot. Donlon states that a console version of Valorant is certainly not out of the question and indicates that the team is working on internal tests.

Valorant was released to all players in early June, after being in beta for several months previously. The shooter is currently only available on PCs. The developer aims for competitive gameplay with the game. The game has dedicated 128 tick servers and the developer has made agreements with peering providers to ensure that at least seventy percent of players worldwide have a ping of 35ms or lower.
