Renders have been published that may show what the LG V20 smartphone will look like. It is a device with two cameras on the back, while only one camera is placed on the front. The V20 may work with modules just like the LG G5.

The renders show that the V20 will have a small second screen on the front, just like the LG V10. Where the V10 still had two selfie cameras, that is no longer the case with the new model. The LG V20 does get two cameras on the back, just like the LG G5. Whether the two cameras also offer the same functionality as with that device is unknown. With the G5 there is a camera with a lens that has an extra large angle of view, in addition to a camera with a regular lens.

There seems to be a button on the side of the housing that could be intended to unclip the bottom of the smartphone. The same button is on the LG G5 and is used with that device to connect optional modules to the device. A fingerprint scanner can be seen on the back, the V20 also has a 3.5 mm audio connection and a USB-c port.

The renders are published by Android Authority in conjunction with OnLeaks and are based on information from anonymous sources. They also told the website that the LG V20 has a thickness of 7.7 mm and that the device is 8.8 mm thick at the point where the cameras protrude. The device is 159.5mm long and 78.1mm wide. This makes the V20 narrower than its predecessor. There is still no clarity about the specifications of the device. Presumably, the V20 will have a screen of about 5.7 “with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, a Snapdragon 820 or 821 soc and 4GB of ram.

LG announced last week that the V20 will be presented on September 6 and that the device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. The device is the successor of the LG V10 and should ensure better sales than the current top model; the LG G5, which has not turned out to be a sales success.
