The Wii U version of Slightly Mad Studios’ upcoming racing game Project Cars will be released sometime in 2015. The developer of the game has informed Eurogamer. The versions of the game for Windows, SteamOS, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be released in November this year.

There was already some concern about the Wii U version of Project Cars, as Slightly Mad hadn’t shown any gameplay for that console yet. Speaking to Eurogamer, the developer is now committed to delivering an “exceptional and unique experience” for racing fans on Wii U. The studio would therefore need more time to ensure that the game offers “the most authentic, beautiful and technically advanced racing game will be on any platform’.

Project Cars is a racing game from Slightly Mad Studios that has been in development since 2011. Versions for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 were previously dropped from the plans. In the game, players can choose to completely master a certain type of motorsport. The PC version of Project Cars also includes support for the Oculus Rift VR glasses.
