NZXT Introduces Curved 32″ QHD Gaming Monitor With 165Hz Refresh Rate

NZXT, the manufacturer best known for housings, components and water coolers, comes with its first monitors. It is a curved gaming screen with a diagonal of 32 inches, a 1440p resolution and a refresh rate of 165Hz. There will also be a different 27″ variant.

NZXT gives these gamer-focused monitors the marketing name Canvas along. According to the manufacturer, they have minimal screen edges. The two screens are similar in a number of ways. They have a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, a refresh rate of 165Hz, support for AMD FreeSync Premium and a specified response time of 1ms. With regard to the latter, it is not clear whether this concerns the gray-to-gray response time or the MPRT value.

There are also clear differences. The 32″ copy, called the Canvas 32Q Curved, has a VA panel and is a curved one with a curvature of 1500R, which is equivalent to the curvature of a circle with a radius of 1.5 meters. The 27″ model, the Canvas 27Q, is not curved and has an IPS panel. According to the official specifications, both cases involve a contrast ratio of 1000:1.

Both models have support for HDR10, but the manufacturer does not say anything about a DisplayHDR certification. The brightness is up to 300cd/m². Presumably, the screens have to do without dimmable zones and also in view of this not too high maximum brightness, the HDR display will not score highly. Settings can be adjusted via the NZXT CAM software and users can create their own profiles that can change dynamically depending on the time of day or the type of game played.

Both models are available in white and black; the black 27″ model costs 409 euros and the black 32″ screen costs 499 euros. 20 euros more has to be paid for a white version. These prices are for the purchase of the screen only; there is no monitor base included. Including a corresponding foot for the 27″ model, an additional 40 euros is added and for the 32″ monitor this is 50 euros extra. Interested parties can also purchase a single or double monitor arm offered by NXZT. The screens are now available.
