Nikon shows new top model D5 dslr

Nikon unveiled the D5 at CES. This top model dslr is equipped with an fx-format 20.8-megapixel sensor. The full-frame sensor has an ISO range of 100 to 102,400, which is expandable to ISO 3,280,000. The camera shoots a maximum of 12 fps with autofocus and 14 without.

The autofocus system is equipped with no less than 153 focus points, 99 of which are cross-sensitive. With an af-sensitivity to -4 EV, it is possible to continue using autofocus even in very low light. The exposure meter features an RGB sensor with 180,000 pixels for accurate subject recognition.

The new Expeed 5 image processing processor has a buffer for two hundred images in raw (nef) or jpg format, so that you can continue shooting at full speed for more than sixteen seconds. Filming can be done with a maximum resolution of 3840×2160 pixels at 24, 25 or 30fps, using a one-to-one crop from the center of the sensor for the highest image quality. Full HD video can be recorded at up to 50 or 60fps in multiple formats.

Two new XQD card slots are available for photo and video storage. Large amounts of data can be transferred quickly via the USB 3.0 port, the Ethernet connection or WiFi. The sales start of the Nikon D5 will start in March 2016. The recommended retail price is 7109 euros.
