New Netflix series Tidelands is about murder, drugs and sirens

Netflix is getting more and more from other countries besides their own ‘originals’. Where Spanish series have really become a hit (La Casa de Papel and Elite ) the productions from Australia do not really succeed. Pine Gap was a more than nice thriller but it is not a big hit. Tidelands, an eight-part series is actually a bit older but is only coming out now and this series will probably not get the top ten lists.

In the series, a woman returns from prison in her native village of Orphelin Bay. At the moment she thinks that everything is going back to his old pace, a body is washed up on the beach. It is the start of a bizarre series of events, starring a bunch of sexy dangerous half-sirens (half-people) called Tidelanders.
