The second part of the previously announced Caves & Cliffs update was released for Minecraft on Tuesday. The update adds new biomes, blocks, music and other features to the game from Mojang Studios. The update is free for anyone who already owns Minecraft.

Update 1.18 is available immediately and the long list of changes can be viewed on Minecraft’s website. The worlds of Minecraft will get a major update with 1.18. Not only have new biomes been added, such as stalactite caves and frozen mountain peaks, but the technical aspects of the world have also been tinkered with.

The world is 64 blocks higher and 64 blocks deeper than before. This deeper and higher world should, among other things, ensure that the new biomes can be added to Minecraft worlds. In the deeper caves, new species of ores can be found and in the high mountains, players can encounter goats.

Mojang Studios decided early this year to split the Caves & Cliffs update into two parts. The first part appeared last summer and added the new goats and various new materials to the game, among other things. The parts of the update that are technically more complicated were postponed to the end of the year.
