Microsoft has released Windows RT 8.1 Update 3, the update that brings a Start menu to Windows RT. Tablets with Windows RT will not receive an update to Windows 10, Microsoft announced at the beginning of this year.

In addition to the Start menu, there are round avatars in the update, according to a Microsoft support page. Users of Windows RT tablets, such as the Surface 2 and Nokia Lumia 2520 from Microsoft, can get the update by searching for updates in the settings menu.

The Redmond company had already promised the update and said the release would come in September. At the beginning of this year, Microsoft said that RT tablets would not be updated to Windows 10. With Windows 10, the RT version of the operating system for tablets with ARM processors will expire. There is, however, a Windows 10 mobile for smartphones with ARM processors.
