Microsoft has announced the cost of the Continuum dock for the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. In the US it costs about $100, which will probably be just over $100 in Europe. With Continuum, a mobile phone can be used as a Windows 10 PC.

A Microsoft spokesperson disclosed the amount in a conversation with Computerworld. For the so-called Display Dock, an amount of $ 99 excluding tax is requested. Euro prices have not been disclosed, but it is likely that Microsoft will ask slightly more than 100 euros in Europe. The dock can be used to connect the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL to other hardware, such as a keyboard and external displays. Seven connection ports are available for this.

Microsoft previously announced that it will come with a functionality called Continuum. This is a technique that should turn a Windows 10 smartphone into a full-fledged desktop PC. The intention is that other smartphones with Windows 10 will also have access to this.

The Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL were announced by Microsoft earlier this week. The smartphones should be released next month, including in Europe. The Lumia 950 has a suggested retail price of almost 600 euros, while the XL version costs 100 euros more.
