Microsoft will provide Windows 10 updates with extensive release notes. A special web page has been created where all updates are reported and the updates themselves will be summarized.

Since the release of Windows 10 in July 2015, Microsoft has released numerous updates to the operating system. It was not always clear what exactly the changes were and often the updates are installed without the user noticing.

Microsoft says the new Windows 10 update history page was created based on user feedback. The page shows the full release notes of all Windows 10 updates. The software maker also says that with all updates in Windows itself, a summary of the most important changes can now be seen, with a link to the full details.

The release notes on the update history page show both the details of the updates for the July and November branch of Windows 10. According to Microsoft, most users have already installed the first major Windows 10 update, which came out in November 2015. Windows 10 Professional, Enterprise, and Education users can stick with the July branch.

On Tuesday, patch Tuesday, Microsoft released its monthly update for Windows 10. Several security updates have been made and, according to the release notes, an issue has been resolved where the Edge browser would save visited URLs when using private mode. Microsoft previously promised to investigate that problem and now seems to have admitted the existence of the error in fixing it.
