LG says at CES 2024 that the transparent Signature OLED T will be released to consumers sometime in 2024. The manufacturer calls the 77″ television wireless because of the wireless connection to the Zero Connect Box. No prices or specific release dates have been announced yet.

The Signature OLED T uses a transparent OLED panel and has a built-in ‘contrast screen’ that can be raised for increased contrast. This makes the screen according to The Verge comparable to that of regular OLED televisions, although according to the medium the image quality is less than that of LG’s G series.

The screen is powered by an A11 SoC and runs on LG’s own webOS operating system. The brand promises special widgets that can be displayed in a bar at the bottom. There is also an always-on mode, allowing the transparent screen to serve as a digital canvas. The television is provided with audio and 4k video by the Zero Connect Box, which basically connects wirelessly to the TV. However, the screen and the media box each require a separate power supply.
