Acer introduces Aspire SpatialLabs laptop with 3D screen that costs 1699 euros

Acer will release an Aspire 3D 15 SpatialLabs laptop in March that allows users to view 3D images without glasses. This is the cheapest SpatialLabs Acer laptop to date. The laptop can be equipped with an Intel i7-12620H and Nvidia RTX 4050.

The Aspire 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition has a 15.6″ screen with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and a maximum brightness of 380cd/m². The device comes with Acer SpatialLabs software that can, among other things, convert 2D images to 3D, such as YouTube videos. The laptop can also converts CGI and CAD files to 3D images and comes with Unity and Unreal Engine plugins for 3D projects.

The screen supports one hundred percent of the Adobe RGB color spectrum. The laptop can be purchased with an Intel Core i7-12620H and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050, with up to 32GB of DDR5 memory and 2TB of storage. Furthermore, the laptop has an HDMI 2.1 port, a USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 port and Wi-Fi 6 support.

In addition to the SpatialLabs laptop, Acer comes with a Predator SpatialLabs View 27-gaming monitor. This is the gaming variant of the Acer SpatialLabs View Pro 27. The Predator variant has additional software for 3D effects in games, which use the depth information from the games. Games automatically launch in pre-configured 3D profiles and Acer says it will add 3D profiles for new and old games monthly. The screen has a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels, a refresh rate of 160Hz and a maximum brightness of 400cd/m². The display supports AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-SYNC. The monitor will be released in the second quarter of this year for 1999 euros.
