LG will launch a new top model in its smartphone range in the second half of this year, the company has confirmed. The company calls the new model a “super flagship.” The company has not yet released any details about the new phone.
According to Juno Cho, the head of LG’s smartphone business, the “super flagship” is “one step higher” than LG’s G-series. “We plan to announce the details of the phone at the appropriate time,” Cho told ZDNet. It would not be the G4, successor to the G3, but a new device.
In addition, Cho says LG will soon announce a new version of its interface layer on top of Android, LG UX. Version 4.0 of LG UX must be considerably improved compared to its predecessor. He should, among other things, be more intuitive.
