The co-op horror game Lethal Company is getting a new ‘Arachnophobia’ mode. This mode, which is aimed at people who are afraid of spiders, replaces the animals in question in the game with the word ‘spider’.

The arachnophobia mode is part of the Frosty update for Lethal Company. On social media his images can be seen of the new mode. Spiders are replaced by the word ‘spider’. When the spider dies, the text is turned upside down. The developer joins other developers who introduced similar modes this year, such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Grounded and Hogwarts Legacy. The Frosty update also adds chemical bottles, ‘dramatic masks’, nutcrackers with guns and spray cans of paint.

Lethal Company was released as an early access title on Steam at the end of October. The co-op horror game has grown in popularity since then. The game peaked at over 200,000 concurrent players on the platform in the last 24 hours. In the game, gamers play as employees of a company that collects scrap metal from abandoned moon bases that are plagued by monsters. Players must meet a winning quota by bringing items from the base back to their spaceship.
