Huawei may release one last update for its Android skin Emui, before the company switches to its own HarmonyOS. The question remains what HarmonyOS exactly is, because it looks suspiciously like an Android fork.
Emui 11.1 would be released in March and Huawei would like to present it at the same time as the P50 smartphones, Digital Chat Station reports. In addition, Emui 11.1 would already have the same kernel as HarmonyOS. From later, Huawei would then start using HarmonyOS on phones. Huawei has not responded to the rumor, but the information is in line with the previously presented plans. Those plans also showed that HarmonyOS is coming to existing phones.
