It can be concluded from online benchmarks that HTC is working on a new smartphone with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. In addition, the Taiwanese manufacturer would work on a new Android tablet with Tegra 3 chip.

The smartphone can be found in the database of the benchmark GLBenchmark under the name HTC 6435LVW. System information collected by the benchmark shows that the device is powered by Qualcomm’s MSM8960 soc, but not the version currently on the market. It concerns the so-called Pro variant, which exchanges the Adreno 225 GPU for the more powerful Adreno 320. The S4 Pro also consists of two Krait processor cores with a clock speed of 1.5 GHz.

Perhaps the HTC 6435LVW is a smartphone with a large screen, which has to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Note. Rumors about such a device have already surfaced. Then there was talk of a 5″ screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Screen manufacturer LG recently announced a screen with exactly those specifications.

The aspect ratio also indicates a smartphone and not a tablet. Android tablets usually have an aspect ratio of 16:10, which is not consistent with the resolution of 1920×1080 pixels.

In the Egypt part of GLBenchmark, the performance of the Adreno 320 is impressive. It is almost as fast as the GPU of the Apple A5X chip in the new iPad and more than twice as fast as the Adreno 225 used in the One S. In the Pro test, however, he scores less well.

HTC is also working on a new Android tablet, according to benchmark data. A score of a device called VertexF_PRM, with the brand name ‘htc_generic’, has appeared in the NenaMark database. It runs on Android 4.0.3 and is powered by a Tegra 3 soc. The resolution of 1280×752 pixels is common for Android tablets.

HTC has not been heard in the tablet area for a while. The company released the 7″ Flyer tablet with stylus just over a year ago, but it was not a great success, partly due to the old version of Android it came with. In America, the manufacturer released the 10 ,1″ HTC Jetstream, which was offered by the American telco AT&T. Since then, the manufacturer has not announced any new tablets.
