HP website reports 12-inch laptop with Snapdragon 835-soc

HP mentions on its support website some specifications of a 12″ laptop equipped with a Snapdragon 835-soc. It is probably a Windows 10 laptop. Microsoft has already indicated that the first Windows laptops with ARM- processor appear.

The German website WinFuture discovered that HP has the laptop on its website. The support page only mentions a type number or code name and some global specs in the title. It is the 2US29AV with an SD835, 4GB ram and 128GB-ufs storage memory. There is also 12 in the name, which probably indicates that it is a 12 “laptop. It is not clear what the screen resolution is. According to WinFuture, there will also be a model with 8GB and 256GB flash storage.

At the end of October, Microsoft made statements about upcoming laptops with Snapdragon 835-soc. An employee told several media at an event that it is not necessary to charge these devices daily, because the battery life is very good. He also said that the devices will be released this year, as Microsoft has previously promised.

At the end of 2016, Microsoft announced that such devices are coming and that they are creating a Windows 10 version that is compatible with ARM socs. Through emulation, x86 programs also work on the ARM version of Windows 10. In May this year it was announced that Asus, HP and Lenovo are working on laptops and 2-in-1s with Qualcomm’s soc. So far, the manufacturers have not made any announcements of these laptops.
