Google will release its Pixel 5 smartphone in Germany in two weeks for 613 euros. The American company has announced this. The Pixel 4a 5G will be released later for 486 euros. The phones are not coming to the Benelux.

The smartphones should probably have cost a little more, but Google calculates the reduction in VAT, something that also happened with the Pixel 4a. Germany and France are the closest countries from the Benelux where the telephones come from. In France the phones cost 499 and 629 euros. Google has planned a release in nine countries. The specs had already been leaked and images were already online . The Pixel 5 omits the 3.5mm jack compared to the 4a 5G, but adds a 90Hz screen, water resistance and wireless charging. The screen of the 4a 5G is slightly larger, but the battery of the Pixel 5 has a little more capacity.
