Google Maps changes color scheme for some users

Google Maps appears to have adjusted the color scheme for some users. Roads are no longer yellow on the map, but blue-gray. It is unknown when all users will see the new color scheme.

Some users will see the new color scheme in the app and some in the browser. There are also users who do not see the new color scheme, according to reports online. On Google’s own forum users complain that traffic and small roads, among other things, are less visible in the new color scheme.

It is unknown why Google is trialling or releasing the new colors. The search giant has not yet said anything about the new color palette in the maps app. It appears that users have been experiencing the new colors since Friday. Many such changes are happening in phases, so users who don’t see the new colors yet may get them in the coming weeks.
