The Nvidia GeForce 4070 Ti video card has surfaced in a support page of the Omniverse View application. This is an app from Nvidia that allows users to collaborate on 3D-rendered projects. This seems to officially confirm the existence of the 4070 Ti.

The video card was announced in September as the RTX 4080 12GB and would initially be available in November alongside the RTX 4080 16GB. However, the introduction was canceled in October after criticism. According to some, the 12GB variant of the RTX 4080 was more of a refined 4070, instead of a full-fledged 4080. Rumors later appeared that Nvidia would reintroduce the video card as the RTX 4070 Ti.

According to those rumors, the specifications of the video card would remain the same, only the name would change. The alleged GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, like the canceled card, is said to have 7680 CUDA cores, a 2.6GHz boost clock speed and 12GB of GDDR6X memory. The 285W TBP and the 192-bit memory bus with a throughput speed of 21GB/s also remain applicable. The price and release date of the alleged 4070 Ti are still subject to speculation. The canceled RTX 4080 12GB had a suggested retail price of 1099 euros, which is a price indication for the video card in question.

It is not yet known when the video card will appear on the market. An Italian online store did put a web page for the graphics card online in early December, showing a countdown clock for an ASUS TUF variant of the card. That countdown clock ends on January 5. Nvidia is expected to announce the card at CES in early January.
