Xtreamer has released version 2.5.4 of the firmware for the iXtreamer. Like the other media players from Xtreamer, this new media player is equipped with a Realtek 1283 chipset, but as extra it has a connection for an Apple iPod, iPhone or iPad. on this page it is easy to see the difference between the various Xtreamer devices. What’s new in this firmware?

• While playing video from an iPod, “F1” key can be used to change brightness
• Continuous navigation function added (push and hold IR button ) for iPod
• FF and RW functions added while playing iPod Video files (compatible with 2.5.4 and later)
• DVD with Angel is supported, this feature is added in “Setting->Playback” menu.
• New Dock firmware

Improvements

• PHP recompiled with Curl, json, bzip support.
• Blu-ray folder playback improvement.

Bug fixed

• Screen saver don’t works from Dock photo mode.
• “Return” key can’t be used from Dock Video/Audio/Photo list mode
• “Home” key should be used to exit
• Issues with not being able to play some HD-Audio files. Fixed.
• VCD info OSD modified to provide more accurate information
• HDD detection issue after powering up from NAS Mode while HDD is on spin down. Fixed
