Download Firmware HP iPAQ H4100 1.00.14

HP has released new firmware for the iPaq H4100 family. Keep in mind that by upgrading the ROM the so-called partnership between the iPaq and the PC will be undone and all personal data will also be lost. It is therefore recommended to make a backup first. In addition to the new ROM and the program to install it, this update contains a text file with more information about this phenomenon. From the release notes we can see that the following has changed in 1.00.14:

  • Fixes issue where the SD card is not recognized if the handheld enters Suspend/Resume during file transfer between SD card and desktop using ActiveSync.
  • Fixes issue where the handheld stops responding after a cold reset if an SD card is inserted.

• ActiveSync: Fixes issue where a third-party application caused the inadvertent deletion of the contact database during a sync.

• Pocket Internet Explorer:
  • Improves WAP browser so that it passes additional cache-management tests.
  • Enables Pocket Internet Explorer to correctly handle Suspend mode.

  • Fixes issue where File Explorer would stop responding (crash) if the location it was exploring was removed.
  • Fixes issue where Voice recordings could not be saved to the selected location.
  • Fixes I cache corruption issues.
