Asus has prepared a new BIOS for the P4C800-E Deluxe motherboards on its ftp site. These are built around the Intel 875P Chipset which supports a Socket 478 at up to 800MHz FSB. The supplied DOS program can be used to apply this update. The version number has arrived at 1017 and has the following changelog:

Fix password invalid, when “password check” change to “always” and press “enter” without typing.

Fix boot order sequence will be change when set SATA to first boot and remove PATA.

Patch Hitachi 400GB HDD can not detect when the system first power on.
