Fedora 32 release delayed by week due to large number of bugs

The Fedora developers are delaying the release of version 32 by at least a week. The reason is that there are still too many bugs in the Linux distro that need to be fixed first, including issues with lvm partitions.

The release of Fedora 32 will not take place on April 21 right now, but not until the 28th at the earliest, developer Ben Cotton writes on the Fedora development page. The delay is due to the large number of bugs in the distro. These would include the way Fedora’s rescue mode handles lvm partitions, the OS would crash frequently on dual-gpu laptops, and the KDE environment wouldn’t start when users switch accounts. Also, there would be dozens of other minor bugs. Fedora 32 is released with Gnome 3.36.

The next date on which Fedora 32 can be released is only a week later than planned, but that too is not final yet. For now, the release remains a ‘no-go’, Cotton writes. “We will meet on the 23rd to further re-evaluate. If we have a ‘go’ then Fedora 32 will be out on April 28th.”
