Epic Games will soon start rolling out achievements for its PC platform. At least six games will receive support for achievements via the Epic Games Launcher next week.

In a blog post, Epic Games details the achievements, which are rolling out next week for Rocket League, Hades, Pillars of Eternity, Kena, Zombie Army 4, Alan Wake Remastered “and more.” The feature will be made available to developers of other games later this year.

The company comes with four kinds of achievements. Just like on PlayStation consoles, users can earn bronze, silver, gold and platinum rewards. Each achievement variant is worth a different amount of experience points, which users can use to ‘level up’ their profile. Ultimately, this will require players to “earn new social features and player rewards,” but Epic Games isn’t giving any concrete details about that yet.

Epic Games had developers process achievements in their games since last year, but they were only available in-game and therefore not integrated into the Epic Games Launcher itself. Developers can transfer their old achievements to the new system. These old developer achievements that players have achieved in games are then automatically transferred to the new system. These old achievements will also continue to be available to developers who have previously incorporated them into their games, but do not want to switch to the new Epic Achievements system.
