Driver Update: Intel INF Update Utility 7.0.0.1025

Intel Corporation’s web page has recently released version 7.0.0.1025 of Intel’s chipset drivers, better known as Intel INF Update Utility. This package is suitable for all Intel chipsets in combination with Microsoft Windows 2000, XP and 2003. The release notes inform us of the following changes:

• Support for upcoming 64-bit Operating Systems has been added
• New installer has been introduced

Issues Resolved:

• Install crashes during silent mode installation
• PnP detection issue on Windows XP
• Readme window goes blank when running setup.exe in command prompt
• Registry key INFINST was not getting updated after installation
• Program Files directory no longer hard coded
• Silent switch installation from Hard disk issue is fixed
• Command line parse routine was not catching unknown switches that started with -OVERxxxxxx.
