Co-op Platformer Trine 4 Coming October 8th
Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince from developer Frozenbyte and publisher Modus Games will be released on October 8. The co-op puzzle platformer is coming to PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
In Trine 4, the characters from the earlier parts are brought together, namely the sorcerer Amadeus, the knight Pontius and the thief with bow and arrow Zoya. Each character has his or her strengths and weaknesses, and players must take this into account in their quest to find Prince Selius in the world of Trine and return him to the Astral Academy. Through dark nightmares, this prince becomes increasingly evil, posing a threat to the world.
The publisher doesn’t just release Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince; On October 8, Trine: Ultimate Collection will also be available for players to play the entire existing Trine series and Trine 4. The new side-scroll game has a completely revamped combat system, including the necessary bosses. For the first time, up to four players can participate simultaneously, both locally and online.
Modus Games is also behind Override: Mech City Brawl and the Extinction series. The original Trine was released in 2009 and Trine 3 followed in August 2015. These puzzle games are all about overcoming dynamic, physical puzzles and obstacles, making good use of the different abilities of the three characters.
