Biostar has released a motherboard for mining cryptocoins. Unlike comparable previous models, the board has 64 economical asics for efficient mining. The parallel computing power for mining would be equivalent to thirty Radeon 7970 cards.

The motherboard is specifically intended for mining rigs. The BTC-24GH from Biostar offers with its 64 asics a computing power of 24GH/s. This would equate to 30 AMD Radeon 7970 cards. Multiple boards can be connected via the com ports, with a maximum of fifty for a mining computing power of 1200GH/s.

The BTC-24GH measures 244x244mm and consumes about 130W. Biostar supplies com-to-com and com-to-usb cables. Details about the price are not yet available and it is not known when the boards will be available exactly. However, according to the manufacturer, the bitcoin motherboard is ready for sale.

Earlier, ASRock introduced a motherboard for mining cryptocurrency. That board had six PCI-e slots, so that just as many graphics cards can be put to work for mining.
