Bethesda will release top-down shooter Mighty DOOM for smartphones in March
Bethesda releases Mighty Doom on March 21. This top-down shooter is set in the DOOM universe and will be available for Android and iOS. The game was previously quietly announced and a so-called soft launch already took place in 2021.
Mighty DOOM takes place in the ‘DOOM animated universe’, writes publisher Bethesda. In the game, players control Mini Slayer, an action figure version of the famous Doom Slayer from previous games in the franchise. This collectible came to life through a wave of Argent energy. Demon action figures have made off with Daisy, the Mini Slayer’s rabbit, in the game. In the title, players must save that rabbit.
The game will be a top-down shooter that will also have roguelite elements, according to the studio. Players will battle demons and bosses in ‘iconic levels’. New skills and improved equipment and weapons can be unlocked along the way.
Mighty DOOM is made by Alpha Dog Games, a studio that has been part of Bethesda parent company ZeniMax since 2019. The game will be available on March 21 ‘in select countries’ for Android and iOS devices.
