Bethesda Confirms Prey 2 Will Never Come Out

Publisher Bethesda has announced that development of Prey 2 has stopped. The game from developer Human Head Studios has never been able to live up to expectations and would not meet the desired quality requirements.

Bethesda says it no longer believes the game could be a success. The collaboration with Human Head Studios could still be continued, but it remains to be seen what form that will take.

Bethesda announced Prey 2 in 2011. Human Head Studios was once again responsible for the development of the game. Prey 2 would mainly focus on fast paced action in an open world. It then remained silent around the release. First, the word came out that the game would be pushed back to 2012, but by the end of that year it became clear that development of Prey 2 had been halted. However, Bethesda has only now confirmed that the game will definitely not be released. It is unknown why the publisher waited so long.
