Asus releases 15.6″ gaming laptops with GTX 1060 and 1070

Asus starts selling its GL502 laptops, which are available with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or 1070 video card. The laptops have a 15.6 “screen with G-Sync and weigh about 2.3 kg. Prices start at 1599 euros.

The gaming laptops are placed in Asus’ Republic Of Gamers line. This can be seen from the logos on the housing and the wasd keys of the backlit keyboard are also provided with a color. The GL502VM version contains an Nvidia GTX 1060 GPU with 6GB vram and the GL502VS contains the GTX 1070 with 8GB memory.

Both models have a G-Sync screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Asus provides the gaming laptops with an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, a quad-core with hyperthreading and a TDP of 45 watts. Depending on the version, there is a 128GB or 256GB SATA or PCIe SSD. Both models also have a 1TB HDD.

The GL502VM with GTX 1060 has a suggested retail price of 1599 euros and the GL502VS with GTX 1070 costs 1999 euros. Asus also announces that the previously announced GL533 laptop with GTX 960M is now available for a suggested retail price of 899 euros.
