Apple has put a step-by-step plan online that allows owners of an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus to reinstall iOS 8. This should solve the range and Touch ID issues that users were running into. At the same time, Apple announces that iOS 8.0.2 is coming.

“We have a work-around for you if you have an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus and you lose your phone connection and Touch ID functionality after updating to iOS 8.0.1,” Apple wrote. On Wednesday, Apple released the update, which was supposed to fix numerous bugs but introduced new issues with range and Touch ID for many iPhone 6 users.

Those users can connect their smartphone to the latest version of iTunes for a reset. Apple recommends backing up and the company has published files for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus respectively. It allows users to clean install iOS 8 again. iOS 8.0.2 will be released in a few days, Apple promises, which fixes the original bugs, such as those of the Health app, and shouldn’t introduce new ones.
