AMD has released the full specs of its Raven Ridge APUs. This shows that the quad-core processors with Vega GPUs are the first chips with official support for dual channel DDR4-2933.

AMD announced the Ryzen desktop APUs at CES and has now posted the full specs of the Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 2400G on its site. The APUs for the AM4 platform support ddr4 up to 2933MHz.

Since the Vega GPUs of the chips do not have their own video memory, and therefore have to use the relatively slow working memory, the APUs benefit from DDR4 RAM as quickly as possible, ComputerBase concludes.

The Ryzen 3 2200G is a quad-core with Vega 8 that can work on four threads and has a base clock speed of 3.5GHz, with turbo up to 3.7GHz. The Ryzen 5 2400G is a quad-core with support for eight threads and clock speed of 3.6GHz, with turbo to 3.9GHz. The GPU is the Vega 11.
