Acer has announced the XR341CKA, a 34″ ultra wide qhd monitor. The monitor has an IPS screen with an aspect ratio of 21:9. The XR341CKA supports Nvidia’s G-sync technology.

The curved 21:9 screen has a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels, a response time of 4ms and a viewing angle of 178 degrees horizontally and 172 degrees vertically. The brightness is 300cd/m². According to Acer, it will be able to display the full sRGB color space. Nvidia’s G-sync is also supported, with six presets available. In addition, the monitor continuously adjusts the image refresh rate while playing PC games, for example, in order to avoid tearing and shocks.

Acer has equipped the monitor with a thin bezel. The base is made of aluminum and two 7W speakers are included in the housing. Acer states that the monitor can be tilted horizontally through an angle of -5 degrees to 35 degrees. The monitor can also be adjusted in height by 13 cm. The monitor is equipped with a displayport and HDMI 1.4 input and has a USB 3.0 hub with four ports. The XR341CKA will be available on the market from June and will cost 1399 euros.

Rumor has it that Acer will also release a variant that supports AMD’s FreeSync. Details on this have not yet been released.
