mjl points us to a new version of ATi’s Multimedia Center, namely 8.8. This program aims to record and play back video through the TV in and out of an All-In-Wonder video card. From version 8.8 it is possible to view the television images on another computer in your network using Eazyshare. To do this, the PC in question must be equipped with a Radeon card. In the release notes we find the following new features:

New Features

• Eazyshare
  The latest version of the ATi Multimedia Center now includes a new feature known as Eazyshare. This feature allows users to share TV, whether it is live or recorded. Eazyshare can be used when a PC that contains an ATi All-In-Wonder card is connected to any other PC on a home network, which contains a “Built By ATi” Radeon graphics card installed. The ATi All-In-Wonder card turns the users PC into a fully functional personal video recorder and Eazyshare extends that benefit to other PCs. A user can sit at any home networked PC (assuming it has a “Built By ATi” Radeon card) and watch TV with access to all the functions of a Personal Video Recorder. They can pause live TV, skip ad breaks, and get instant replays.
• Capturing to MPEG4 Format
  The latest version of the ATi Multimedia Center now allow for capturing to MPEG4 format. Three different MPEG4 Presets can be created through the ATi TV player setup.
• Auto Scan for FM Radio
  The latest version of the ATi Multimedia Center now provides for auto scanning of the FM frequency range. This provides the user with a station list similar to the TV change list provided by the ATI TV Player. The user is also provided with the ability to add station identifiers and assign a preset value to the station.
• Support for the ATI TV Wonder
  The latest version of the ATi Multimedia Center now provides support of the ATi TV Wonder™ family product line. The ATi Multimedia Center will provide owners of the ATi TV Wonder series with the following features:
  • TV (without the timeshift and EAZYLOOK™ features)
  • File Player support
  • VCD support
  • ACD support
  • Media Library support
