Software Update: AOL Instant Messenger 5.5.3501 beta

AOL has beta version 5.5.3501 released of its Instant Messenger software. This release can be taken down from here and comes with two new features. The first addition is called Screen Name Linking and allows multiple nicknames to be used when one account is logged in. The second feature is Live Video IM and offers the possibility to communicate with another buddy via a webcam and microphone. The release notes look like this:

Now you can see and hear your buddies with Live Video IM. All you need is a webcam, microphone, and a broadband connection.

Screen Name Linking
Do you have more than one Screen Name? Now you can sign onto AIM once, and have all of your Screen Names appear online. Send and receive IMs from any of your Screen Names. View all of your buddy lists. Make your linked Screen Names appear on or offline with a single click.[break]Aim Ad Hack has a program too find that removes the banners from the instant messenger. You can AAH from the home page download and only works with AIM version 5.5.3501 beta. Unfortunately, this hack also has a disadvantage:[/break]Known bugs:
