Photos and specifications of a Radeon RX 7900 have appeared. The video card is broadly the same as the existing Radeon RX 7900 XT, but has one less memory chiplet and 16GB instead of 20GB GDDR6. The new card is intended for the Chinese market.

Photos of the Sapphire Radeon RX 7900 were published by Twitter user wxnod, Tom’s Hardware noted. The video card has, among other things, 4GB less memory than the RX 7900 XT. A memory cache chiplet is also disabled. Such mCDs contain a 64bit memory interface and Infinity Cache. This gives the Radeon RX 7900 a 256-bit memory bus and probably 64MB Infinity Cache. The current Radeon RX 7900 XT has a 320bit memory bus with 80MB cache, while the RX 7900 XTX has a 384bit memory bus and 96MB Infinity Cache.

The other specifications seem to be the same as the Radeon RX 7900 XT. The new RX 7900 gets the same Navi 31 GPU with 84 compute units and therefore 5376 streaming processors. The clock speeds are also unchanged. The video card is currently only available in China. It is not known whether this will also come to other countries in the future. It is also unknown how expensive the video card is. The Radeon RX 7900 XT had a suggested retail price of $899 at launch, but is now available for less.
