The old racing game stunts was published in 1990 by Brøderbund and later by Mindscape. It was quite popular at the time because of the various stunts that could be performed while racing and the included track editor with which it was possible to create your own race tracks. In the summer of 2001, Corné Plooy started developing a racing game for Linux based on Stunts. This game was further developed in the following years and provided with the name Ultimate Stunts. It shares many similarities with the original racing game but also adds new features such as networked multiplayer and the use of Opengl for improved graphics. The developers have released version 0.7.5 of Ultimate Stunts and provided it with the following announcement:

Released Ultimate Stunts 0.7.5.

This version contains another major improvement in the track editor: the route information will now be automatically re-calculated when you make changes to the track. This is an important step towards completeness of the track editor. Other changes are a more user-friendly settings editor, and a different slip model, which should make the car handling a bit easier.
