Download Mozilla Firefox 18.0.1

Mozilla has released an update to version 18 of its Firefox web browser. Version 18 includes provisional support for the w3c standard WebRTC, which enables real-time voice and video communications, among other things. Also new is IonMonkey, a new JavaScript engine that delivers significantly better performance. Also, the Mac’s high-resolution screens are supported, images are scaled better, and there are performance improvements when switching between tabs. Version 18.0.1 should fix three minor issues.

Fixed is version 18.0.1:

• Problems involving HTTP Proxy Transactions (Associated bugs)
• Unity player crashes on Mac OS X (bug 828954)
• Disabled HIDPI support on external monitors to avoid rendering glitches (bug 814434)
